Pro Import has serviced my Audi since 2019. They always provide excellent service. My car has been so well taken care of that with over 160k miles on it - it still drives like day one! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can’t say enough good things about Pro Imports in Gainesville! I called when they were getting close to closing, and they still told me to bring my car in—even being upfront that if it was something serious, they might not have enough time to fix it that day. They took one look and quickly found the problem: a loose hose! They fixed it right away, ran a diagnostic to check the codes, AND even filled my tires while I was there. It’s hard to find a shop that is this honest, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile, especially at the end of the day. They could have easily told me to come back another day, but instead they took the time to help and got me safely back on the road. ⭐⭐☆☆☆ I had a repair done here in February that totaled around $1,800. I received and authorized the itemized estimate because I needed my car and didn’t realize how heavily the parts were being marked up. Afterward, I found the same part online for around $250, while I had been charged nearly $900 for it. When I asked for documentation showing the cost of the part, they were unable to provide it, and the response to my question was unnecessarily aggressive. I understand that businesses need to make a profit and mark up parts, but the lack of transparency and how my concerns were handled left me uncomfortable. I ultimately decided not to return and would encourage customers to research parts and ask questions before approving expensive repairs.
We apologize that you were not satisfied with the authorized cost of the repair for your Mini Cooper. We understand that at times we may not be the cheapest, but with our quality parts and A-level European technicians we do strive to be the best value. These days most parts of inferior quality can easily be found on places like Amazon or Ebay and can be found very cheap. We only repair our client's vehicles with quality parts to ensure a lasting repair. These parts also allow us to offer our standard 2 year/ 24,000 mile parts and labor warranty on all repairs completed. We mean no disrespect when we are unable to provide our internal vendor invoices as they are not readily available on site. It is also not a normal request to demand that any business provides their cost of doing business. This would be similar to demanding a nice steakhouse provide you their invoice on what the steak you ordered cost them because you could go to the Walmart and buy it much cheaper. That steak at the steakhouse is more than likely of much better quality and that business, like any business, must sell their product at profit in order to keep their doors open. We are always transparent in everything we do which is why send copies of our estimates to every client prior to a repair so that they can review every single item no matter where they are. This allows our clients to feel comfortable during the repair process, ask any and all question they may have, and, if they choose, give them an opportunity to reach out to other facilities for a second opinion based on our exact estimate.
